When Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey decided to skip out on their final bowl games in college football in order to preserve their health for the NFL Draft, and then both were rewarded with a top-10 selection and the prize money that accompanies it, people began to speculate whether this trend would become commonplace in college football.

But with the numbers telling a much larger story, this trend might not become as common as originally thought.
