“The Lakers roster has nothing that interests me. If I’m Indiana, I don’t want anything from your roster, your roster sucks.”

With the Pacers franchise on life support with one of the team’s best players ever all but out the door as a free agent in the summer of 2018, Ben Maller thinks the team shouldn’t turn pathetically desperate for one of his many suitors asking for trades in the coming months.

Maller thinks the Lakers, who have coveted George for years, are the obvious trade partners for Indiana but believes there’s no reason to just hand a guy over to a panhandling doormat when they’re just going to give you garbage in return.

“I’d rather have Paul George for a year and let him walk somewhere else than take garbage in return from the Lakers.”
